PPC loosing lustre?

It may be early to tell whether PPC advertisements have lost out to CPM but there are signs of it loosing some ground.

Take for example, the  over crowding of the cyber space by MFA websites and blogs and the ease with which PPC adservers can contracted. Unlike earlier years, advertisers have to shell out huge CPC for their desired traffic generation which is sapping their add dollars where as ROI is diminishing.

From a publisher’ s point of view, smart pricing and low SERPs lead to negligible add revenues. I don’t think there are many earners than there are losers

Yes, it is possible to over turn the situation in the publishers’ favor but only by increasing SERPs.

I would like participation on this topic, both by publishers and advertisers.

Google Knol - Google’s New Product

Google is beta testing its new product ‘Knol‘ which is being touted to rival Wikipedia. As of writing this, men at helm of affairs at Google is are upbeat with Knol’s possibilities to attract huge traffic which they plan to monetize.

Like Wikipedia, Knoll will be driven by user contributed content, albeit with a twist, that users will get to share revenue generated from their pages. Google has declared that it will allow those that contribute to Knol can include their adds. Even otherwise, given Google’s legendary business strides, you can rest assured to expect them to come up with something acceptable.

While all other content sites across the internet had to muscle their way to SERP rankings,  Google may try to promote Knol in an innovative way or through its home grown Adwords.
